A Message From A Happy Man... Since I first sold the house, took the money, and hit the road in 1998, there's been a lot of changes in the world -- few for the better -- but the one constant has been the allure and appeal of America's back roads and small towns. My publisher was pleased with the sales and media attention sparked by the first edition and, in 2002, published a second edition in which I updated information for the Original 20 Tours. Tens of thousands of readers and riders throughout America and overseas were kind enough to rely on my book to help plan their trips, and the American Motorcyclist Association made it a premium part of their Diamond Level membership -- join up and you'd get a copy. That -- plus appearances as a prize on 'The Price Is Right' (true fact) and an endorsement by my favorite magazine, American Heritage, just made things better.
