BUELL S3 THUNDERBOLT
Kuralt for Wisconsin was a 1999 Buell Thunderbolt S3 -- although after riding it for 450 miles I'd suggest they rechristen this the 'Teddy Roosevelt' -- it is one rough rider. If you're unfamiliar with its pedigree, Erik Buell took a 101-hp, 1200cc Thunderstorm engine and mounted it on a sportbike frame. The result is an uncomfortable ride. It's fine at 50, rough at 60 and at 70 your eyelashes disintegrate. Although they add saddlebags and a small fairing, this is not what you need for a long tour -- unless you are an aggressive 20-year-old who loves fighting F5 winds. See if they have a larger touring bike and maybe you'll be OK.
