Great American Motorcycle Tours
NEW ENGLAND

WHITE MOUNTAINS-BLUE SEAS RUN
Littleton, New Hampshire to Camden, Maine
(with featured sidetrip to Bar Harbor)
Via: Mount Washington, Kancamagus Highway, Fryeburg, Yarmouth, Waldoboro, Thomaston
Ride Highlights: Exhilarating mountains of New Hampshire, state parks, sections of Maine coastline, and a visit to majestic Acadia National Park.
Ride Overview: From the mountains... to the oceans white with foam... A ride across New Hampshire's White Mountains to the coast of Maine is relatively short, but with distinct changes in landscape and cultures to create a perfect balance of mountain riding, coastal runs and an opportunity to head out to sea.
BERKSHIRES/CENTRAL VERMONT RUN
Lenox, Massachusetts to Stowe, Vermont
Via: Williamstown, Arlington, Manchester Village, Plymouth Notch, Woodstock, Rochester, and Waitsfield.
Ride Highlights: A sometimes casual, often challenging ride on some of America's greatest roads. Twists, turns and riverside runs through the cultural capital of Western Massachusetts and past the homes of fiercely independent residents of the Green Mountain state.
Ride Overview: If you live west of the Mississippi or south of the Mason-Dixon line, reaching the region's best road can take hours. This is where New England is different. The dense concentration of states and plentiful rivers, hillocks and mountains compress a nation's worth of ideal motorcycling roads into a relatively small area. Of course, it's not just the roads that make this trip one of the best in America. It's the fact that this run meets the benchmarks for a perfect run: culture, history and scenery.
HUDSON RIVER VALLEY RUN
Tarrytown/Sleepy Hollow to Saratoga Springs
Via: Nyack, Bear Mountain State Park, Hyde Park, Staatsburg, Rhinebeck, Taconic State Parkway
Ride Highlights: A casual tour through the endless mountains, canopied roads and historic villages showcasing the rich natural beauty of the Hudson River Valley.
Ride Overview: Twenty-five miles north of NYC are the neighboring communities of Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow, a perfect base to begin a tour of the Hudson River Valley. While this is close to the capital of capitalism, it is worlds away in texture and feel. The villages' European flavor will lead you to believe you took a wrong turn in Bavaria; however the wealth of European architectural styles only masks the fact that this is America that began more than 150 years before the nation existed. The village and following 180 miles introduce you to a world of literature, art, history, and cuisine and acquaint you with great river roads, hills, scenic vistas, pubs, diners, and lead you to the entrance of the outstanding Adirondacks.
CAPE COD RUN
Sandwich to Provincetown, Massachusetts (with side trip to Nantucket)
Via: Barnstable, Cummaquid, Dennis, Orleans, Chatham
Ride Highlights: A short, even-keeled ride through old whaling communities and Colonial villages. Few rises and falls along Route 6A, but you'll find serenity and history in abundance.
Ride Overview: As you skirt along the shores and marshes of Boston Bay, past a collection of Cape Cod communities, the road less traveled swings into a gentle curve, rises over a bridge and delivers you into an anachronism. On this 80-mile scenic sojourn, you'll visit Colonial villages such as Sandwich, Barnstable, Dennis and Cummaquid where there are theaters, potters, antique shops, pubs and historical points of interest. A few miles south of Route 6A is Hyannis and Woods Hole where ferry links can take riders and their bikes to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. The routes are short, straight, calming and quiet. Sometimes this is just the right pace for a laid back ride.
